Job Interview

I just came home from a job interview and I'm not sure what to make of it.  The guy asked me LOTS of questions about my kids.  I answered all of them as politely as I could but I feel like that's all we talked about. What should I make of this? If this happens again, should I try to just change the subject or would that seem weird?
